The end of Autumn (Fall) （秋の終わり）

I hope everyone has been keeping well since our last blog. Depending on when this is uploaded, that time might be very close!

おかえりなさい！ 前回のブログ以来、皆様が元気に過ごしていらっしゃることを願っております。 これがいつアップロードされるかによっては、その時が非常に近いかもしれません。

 

This was our last class of the year so we did something special.

今年最後の授業だったので、特別なことをしました。

 

Following our Halloween class, our main focus at this time was things we could do inside on a rainy day. My guess is that most of December will be dedicated to Christmas and Winter related things with the other lovely teachers, so I decided it would be good to look at something a little different!

ハロウィーンのクラスに続き、今回は雨の日でも室内でできることを中心に行いました。 私の推測では、12 月のほとんどは他の素敵な先生たちとクリスマスと冬に関連したことに費やされることになると思います。そのため、少し違うことに目を向けるのが良いだろうと決心しました。

 

Do you like:

As our last lesson of the year and as the weather gets colder and colder, we looked at things that can be enjoyed at home on a rainy day (as the rain seems to have become more frequent recently). These things included reading a book, watching TV, taking a nap, playing video games and listening to music.

We went through each of these different activities with the use of flashcards and I asked the class “Do you like reading a book on a rainy day?” and the kids would answer accordingly. Can you guess which was the most popular? (I’ll give you a hint: it includes a controller).

今年最後のレッスンとして、ますます寒くなってきたので、雨の日（最近雨が多くなっている気がします）に家で楽しめるものを考えてみました。 これらには、本を読む、テレビを見る、昼寝をする、ビデオゲームをする、音楽を聴くなどが含まれます。

私たちはフラッシュカードを使用してこれらのさまざまなアクティビティをそれぞれ実行し、私はクラスに「雨の日に本を読むのは好きですか?」と尋ねました。 そして子供たちはそれに応じて答えるでしょう。 どれが一番人気だったかわかりますか? (ヒントを与えます: コントローラーが含まれています)。

 

Paper planes:

On top of the previously listed things we could do on a rainy day, this ALSO included one of my favorite things I used to do as a kid on a rainy day: making paper planes! So as our main activity, everyone was given a sheet of A4 paper with a few different designs on them and followed my directions on how to make the paper plane. Words that were focused on included directional based vocabulary such as fold, flip, hold, put down etc. Once finished (and after a brief PSA about not throwing their paper planes at peoples faces), everyone had the chance to test fly their paper plane through a hula hoop. It was a lot of fun!

雨の日にできることとして前に挙げたものに加えて、これには私が子供の頃に雨の日によくやっていたお気に入りの 1 つである紙飛行機作りも含まれています。 そこで、私たちの主な活動として、いくつかの異なるデザインが描かれた A4 の紙が全員に渡され、私の指示に従って紙飛行機を作りました。 焦点を当てた単語には、折り畳む、ひっくり返す、握る、置くなどの方向に基づく語彙が含まれていました。完成したら（そして、紙飛行機を人の顔に投げないことについての短い PSA の後）、全員が紙飛行機をテスト飛行する機会がありました。 フラフープを通して。 とても楽しかったです！

 

Walking, Walking (song):

One of my favorite songs to preform at kindergartens! It incorporates useful verbs and doesn’t overstay its welcome. There is a part at the end of the song where everything speeds up. It is absolute chaos and is a tone of fun! The kids love this one!

幼稚園で披露する私のお気に入りの曲の一つです。 便利な動詞が組み込まれており、歓迎され続けることはありません。 曲の最後に一気に加速する部分があります。 それは完全にカオスであり、楽しいトーンです！ 子供たちはこれが大好きです！

 

Final thoughts:

I had so much fun this visit at the kindergarten and hope everyone else felt the same! I felt like each class went very well and loved seeing everyone’s smiles!

今回の幼稚園訪問はとても楽しかったので、他のみんなも同じように感じてくれたら嬉しいです！ どのクラスもとてもうまくいき、みんなの笑顔を見るのがとても嬉しかったです。
